HellermannTyton to showcase next-gen TT4030 thermal transfer printer range at DSEI 2017
Visitors to DSEI 2017 will be given an exclusive preview of HellermannTyton’s TT4030 thermal transfer printer, which has been designed to allow for quick and easy identification of cables in military and aerospace applications, ranging from land vehicles, to submarines and aircraft.
Based on next-generation technology, the printer is used to print onto heat shrink tubing, which can then be applied to cable harnesses and wires. Given the safety implications of working with high volumes of electricity inherent in military vehicles and systems, it is critical that all wires and connections are clearly labelled and easily identifiable to eliminate the risk of harm to personnel. This is a key aspect of compliance with MOD and other global military safety standards.
The TT4030 has been specially developed for maximum ease of use and is compatible with an extensive range of consumables, fixings and application tools. Operated via Windows software, this allows for data to be tailored and directly imported from CAD systems, enabling printing to take place as required, while the inclusion of an intuitive, touch-screen display allows for designs to be easily adjusted. The additional cutter and perforator functionality enables further productivity gains. Moreover, it harnesses modern technology, and can operate through Wi-Fi networks, with ultra-fast processes which deliver additional time savings
