FOOD COMPLIANT CABLE IDENTIFICATION LAUNCHED BY HELLERMANNTYTON
Leading supplier of cable management products, HellermannTyton, has increased its Tiptag product range with the introduction of the TTAGMC metal content Tiptag to provide safer cable identification options. Designed for applications where a material needs to be detectable by its metal content, such as the food or pharmaceutical industries, the TTAGMC Tiptag allows manufacturers to increase the areas in which equipment can be identified in their factories. With the food industry having limited metal detectable cable identification products and equipment available, the introduction of the new metal content Tiptag allows equipment to be identified in safety critical areas. The chemical resistance properties of the TTAGMC Tiptag is especially important for food and pharmaceutical industries, where manufacturers carry out industrial washing in factories. FDA-compliant and independently verified, the Tiptag is able to withstand strong detergents, meaning the identification won’t be damaged when the surrounding areas are thoroughly cleaned. A permanent tag that is printed on and tied to cables allowing for easy identification, the new metal content Tiptag has non-burning properties meaning it will distinguish itself if on fire. Manufactured in the UK at HellermannTyton’s Plymouth factory, the development of the metal content Tiptag showcases the company’s continued commitment to providing greater solutions to wider industries. John Banks, UK National Product Manager for Identification at HellermannTyton, commented: “The latest innovation from our design team means that food and pharmaceutical companies can have more products with cable identification in safety critical areas thanks to our new metal formula. “In addition to the metal detectable properties, the new Tiptags are both fire resistant and printable to meet the rigorous industry standards. As a result, customers are protected from contamination which prevents costly scrapped batches.” The new TTAGMC tiptags are now available in the UK.
