Application	Designed for deployment within the last mile of the FTTx network, this HellermannTyton MDU S3 Connectorised enclosure can be used for Point to Point (P2P) or Point to Multi Point (P2MP) requirements with the addition of PLC splitters, bare end or connectorised, pigtails and adaptors. Connectivity within the last-mile (LC or SC style connectors) is often the operator’s preferred presentation and makes day-one customer connection and day-two network trouble shooting and support more straightforward. Connector counts from 8 to 64 are available with several styles of connector mounting options possible.

Technical Description	The MDU S3 enclosure is a modular solution that can be configured in a number of ways to suit the deployment of a specific indoor/outdoor project or installation. The 340 x 247 x 76mm (H x W x D) enclosure is manufactured in light grey (RAL 7035) ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene): the S3 is UV stable with an UL-94 V0, IP54 and IK08 rating. The MDU S3 cover can be customised with a moulded or labelled customer logo. Designed with the small angled HellermannTyton IR Fibre Management System (FMS), the S3 C (Connectorised) accommodates 4 SE IR MKII splice trays giving a maximum of 96 ANT fibre splices and 3 PLC splitters. A loop through anchor bracket is pre-fitted on the left port of the base. The dual outlet of the bracket allows for loop through applications. The black rubber seals cover a cable range of 3.0mm to 14.0mm. The position of the FMS on the left allows for vertical splices and an additional red retaining block for easier access of the fibre routing onto the trays. The 3 red retaining blocks guide the fibre elements onto the FMS and their foam pads can be cut through to accommodate a range of fibre counts. One multi-drop seal (24 x 5mm drops) is pre-fitted on the right port of the base. An extensive range of optional accessories is available upon request and include lock, multi-drop seals (24 x 5mm), M20 cable glands (up to 14mm), loop through anchor kit, drop cable anchor brackets, SC or coloured splice trays, splitter holders for trays, internal or external loop storage baskets, PLC bare end of connectorised splitters (1:32, 1:16, 1:8, 1:4), easy strip coloured pigtails, internal corridor cables (bare end or fanout).
